COLOR THERAPY

RED	Energizer. Stimulates the nerves and the blood systems. Releases adrenalin. Excites the cerebrospinal nerves and sympathetic nervous system. Will aid the following conditions: Anemia (stimulates & builds liver); builds red corpuscles in liver which are stored in the bone marrow for any needed emergency or sudden loss of blood; draws poisons to a head on the surface to be eliminated; bronchitis, paralysis, pneumonia, blood poisoning.
ORANGE	Antispasmodic. Increases lymphatic movement. Aids calcium intake. Raises pulse rate, but not blood pressure. Helps expand interests/activities; creates general sense of well being. Increases oxygen by stimulation of lungs & thyroid glands; depresses parathyroid. Will aid the following conditions: muscle cramps/spasms; underactive thyroid, colds, epilepsy, gout, gall stones, lung conditions.
YELLOW	Digestant. Activates motor nerves/generates energy in muscles. Nerve stimulant & builder; stimulates lymphatic glands; aids in better assimilation for better nutrition; increases appetite; depresses spleen & parathyroid gland; creates self-confidence & courage; loosens & aids in elimination of calcium & lime deposits that cause arthritis, neuritis, etc. Will aid in the following conditions: Inflammation of joints, eczema, diabetes, indigestion, constipation, piles.
LEMON	Chronic alterative, loosening, relaxing, stimulating the eliminative process. Its phosphorus stimulates & builds the brain for clearer, more positive thinking; loosens and eliminates mucus throughout the body; loosens congestion in colon; loosens & dissolves calcium & lime deposits; activates thymus gland for better & more rapid growth in retarded children. Will aid in the following: Healing and building of broken bones, and hardening of soft bones; colds, cleansing processes; antacid, laxative, cerebral stimulant, anti-scurvy, dullness of memory.
GREEN	Disinfectant. Relieves tension, Dilates capillaries, produces sensation of warmth. Master healing color that regulates etheric body. Stimulates pituitary. Will aid in the following: Heart conditions, hay fever, colic, asthma, ulcers, eliminates germs & viruses & toxic waste matter (infections, inside & on the skin). Dissolves blood clots. Main color used in cancer. Too little green may create gall bladder problems, including stones.
TURQUOISE	Acute alterative for sudden pains & aches. Use after green for infections. Builds skin when damages by burns, scratches, sores, infections. Stops the pain of burns. Is a mental or brain depressant/good for sleeping (mild sedative wino side effects.) Will aid in the following: Irritations, inflammations & itching; reduces fevers; will quickly revive conditions of fatigue poisons (produced by work, play, exercise where cells & tissues are broken down, making one feel tired.)
BLUE	Antiseptic. Oxygen in blue unites or intercepts hydrogen in red to increase perspiration as a fever is broken. Vitality builder/the oxygen neutralizes the fatigue poisons, brings about calming & relaxation. Helps heal burns, suppresses fever, promotes growth, increases metabolism. Good for impatience & overactivity. Will aid in the following: Itching, hysteria, burns, glaucoma, overweight, fever, vomiting, throat problems.
INDIGO	Antibiotic & analgesic. Depresses thyroid while stimulating parathyroid. Reduces acute swelling; strong sedative; stops hemorrhages & nose bleeds; stops internal bleeding into tissues & organs. Astringent, tightening, firming, toning the flesh, skin & nerves. Has narcotic effect (with no harmful side effects) produces strong, deep sleep, allowing one to wake alive alert & refreshed; shrinks enlarged heart/depresses heart. Will aid in the following: convulsions, tremors, insanity, nasal problems, inflammation of the appendix, poor smell, eye & ear dysfunctions.
VIOLET	Diuretic. Relaxes, calms, depresses nerves as in over-excitable people. Antibiotic, building organisms that destroy harmful organisms. Spleen stimulant, building white corpuscles there. Spleen produces Vitamin D. As the blood passes through the spleen to the heart, a final cleansing takes place to remove any harmful poison or bad cells. Reduces excitement and extreme irritations. Depresses action of the lymphatic glands for lowered nutrition such as in overweight; depresses appetite. Cardiac depressant, relaxing & soothing to muscles & nerves controlling the heart. Will aid in the following: Bladder problems, skin conditions, mental disorders, sciatic nerve pain, tumors, cramps; gives relief from dysentery & diarrhea; gives wonderful deep sleep similar to Indigo.
PURPLE	Slows heart beat & relieves pain & pressure in heart. Depresses action in the arteries; stimulates action in veins. Lowers blood pressure; relieves pain of headaches & pains from excess pressure. Depresses overactive kidneys & adrenal glands. Is a hypnotic, produces relaxed, deep sleep with no hangover. Excellent for calming & putting children to sleep. Reduces sex desire. Depresses over¬emotional conditions; excellent color for deep meditation. Decreases excessive discharges & menstrual pains. May be interchanged with turquoise for many types of fevers (such as malaria & rheumatic fevers.)
SCARLET	Speeds up heart beat; strengthens & builds. Stimulates action in arteries/depresses the veins. Raises blood pressure for more alertness. Stimulates sluggish kidneys & adrenal glands. Increases & stimulates the emotions. Scarlet may be interchanged whenever lemon is indicated. Esp. beneficial for congestion & pain in back (lumbago & arthritis.) Increases sluggish menstrual discharges.
MAGENTA	Balances emotions. Use in all heart disorders. Is soothing & relaxing both to over-emotional & under-emotional conditions. Stimulates & builds the heart. Will produce similar stimulative & depressive effects to those of both scarlet & purple. Works slightly slower. Will raise or lower blood pressure automatically to produce a normal condition. Stimulates or depresses veins or arteries for normal function. Stimulates or depresses kidneys & adrenal glands. Balances sex desires & abilities. As with green, magenta is used for all disorders & conditions, it makes the other colors more effective. Builds the aura, strengthens & intensifies. Will aid in the following: Bronchial ailments, dissolving kidney stones, general stimulant, diuretic, helpful to the circulatory system, stimulates adrenal glands, energizes the heart.

COLOR TONATION PATTERNS

NOTE: A tonation is the term Dinshah uses for a projection of color to the body. Dinshah divided colors into two main parts called INFRA-GREEN (red, orange, yellow and lemon) and ULTRA-GREEN (turquoise, blue, indigo, violet.)

FIRST PATTERN:

In all disorders, except for a few emergency conditions, GREEN or one of its derivatives (LEMON, TURQUOISE) is included in every tonation program. This is why:

GREEN, as physical equilibrator (cerebral equilibrator; physical equilibrator), tends to bring all bodily functions to their normal levels. In recent (acute) disorders there is usually a rise in body temperature, at least at the focus of the condition. TURQUOISE (half-GREEN and half-BLUE) is the acute alterative (produces a favorable change in the processes of nutrition and repair in recent disorders) because it has some of the governing and cleansing power needed (due to its GREEN component), and at the same time has some fever controlling ability (due to its BLUE component.) For those reasons, tonate TURQUOISE in recent disorders with little or moderate fever. Tonate GREEN and BLUE individually if the fever rises, and add PURPLE (lowers body temperature) to chest area whenever a high fever exists.

When a feeling of "coming down with something" is noticed, begin immediately with TURQUOISE to upper torso/front (one tonation of SCARLET from forehead to chest is often beneficial). Not only is a differential diagnosis unnecessary, but valuable time should not be wasted waiting to see what develops before beginning tonations.

In persistent disorders the reparative and recuperative powers have waned. LEMON (half-GREEN, half-YELLOW) is the chronic alterative (it has some governing and cleansing power, as well as some stimulating ability.) Use LEMON in all persistent disorders; if fever recurs, tonate an ultra-GREEN color until there is little of no fever, and then revert to LEMON and any other colors which were being tonated for the ailment.

SECOND PATTERN:

The invariable use of PURPLE, MAGENTA, and/or SCARLET, in all disorders involving the heart, blood circulation, or reproductive system; and when beginning tonations. This is why:

Dinshah recommends when beginning tonations to include the use of one or more of these colors because all repairs to the body can be accomplished through only one medium, and that is by the agency of the blood. After initial use of these colors in accordance with tonations, usually it will be discretional whether to continue using any of them; but it is prudent to tonate an occasional MAGENTA (as cardiotonic) on chest area during the course of any disorder. Further, in some disorders (such as heart conditions) it is essential that tonations of one or more of these colors be continued; basically, PURPLE for overactivity, SCARLET for underactivity, MAGENTA for equilibration.

The emotions and blood circulation are markedly involved in the adequate functioning of the reproductive system. The same three colors of this pattern are indispensable in cases of reproductive dysfunction.

THIRD PATTERN:

Special schedules of tonations are used in all cases in which paralysis occurs. This is why:

LEMON is used in all persistent (chronic) disorders (paralysis is likely to be persistent. YELLOW is the nerve builder (stimulates the motor nervous system which energizes the muscles. Nerve builder for sensory and motor systems.) ORANGE (half-RED, half-YELLOW) has some of the properties for energizing both the sensory and motor nervous systems -- this series is used for motor system paralysis. RED is the sensory nervous system stimulant (which energizes the five senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell), so is added to the foregoing schedule in cases of paralysis of the senses.

FOURTH PATTERN:

INDIGO is used in all disorders involving bleeding, abscesses, effusion, suppuration, and pain. This is why:

INDIGO works in these disorders with a three-way effort:

By contracting tissues, bleeding and effusions are controlled; the astringent effect also contains and limits the spread of abscesses (causes contraction, controls abscesses, lessens secretions, arrests discharges and hemorrhages, (astringent, antipyic, antiemetic, hemostatic).
By promoting the production of phagocytes, the extent of infection from a wound or abscess is lessened, thereby accelerating the healing processes (promotes the production of phagocytes which destroy harmful micro-organisms).
The pain caused by the above circumstances is minimized [eases suffering, lessens excitement and over-activity (sedative).]
